5 Star Program Flat Fee Pricing – pay a flat fee of just $9.95* on all electronic trades executed through our website or the Automated Telephone Trading service. This new low fee applies to all Canadian and U.S. equity trades, regardless of the share price or quantity, so you’ll realize substantial savings on commissions.

Although trades executed by a BMO InvestorLine Representative are excluded from Flat Fee Pricing, they do qualify for 5 Star discounts on trade commissions.

Two Benefit Levels
To qualify as a 5 Star Program client, you must have a minimum of $250,000 in net assets with BMO InvestorLine in one account or a combination of accounts. You attain the benefit level that corresponds to your asset level. There are no fees, and enrollment is automatic when you meet the minimum dollar requirements. Your net assets will be evaluated quarterly to determine your 5 Star Program level. Once you’ve qualified for a given level, you’ll receive the associated benefits for three months, until the next evaluation.
  • Silver Star - minimum $250,000 in net assets
  • Gold Star - minimum $500,000 in net assets
A Unique Way to Qualify

Qualifying for the 5 Star Program and its exclusive benefits is easier than ever with the unique User ID feature. Whether you have multiple BMO InvestorLine accounts or manage accounts for others, you can consolidate them under one User ID and combine the total assets to qualify for a benefit level. Just register your 5 Star User ID, and you could start receiving benefits after the next evaluation. You can access all of your BMO InvestorLine accounts online with a single User ID and password, so managing and accessing your accounts is right at your fingertips with one sign-in.
