Amazing 8 Contest Rules

The sole sponsor of the following promotion, the "Amazing 8” Contest (the "Contest"), is BMO InvestorLine Inc. ("BMO InvestorLine"). The Contest shall only be construed and evaluated according to Canadian law.

How to Enter:

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. The contest period starts at 08:08 a.m. January 2, 2008 and closes on March 26, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. (“the Contest Period”). The Contest will have (8) draws and there will be eight (8) different prizes available to choose from from each draw.


Who is eligible:

a) You must hold an active BMO InvestorLine personal investment account, joint investment account, registered account or corporate account.

Accumulating Ballots:

b) Account holders and non-account holders who transfer any account to BMO InvestorLine from another institution, or make a deposit into an existing BMO InvestorLine account, will receive one (1) ballot for every $10,000 (CDN) that is transferred or deposited into an account after completing and submitting the Authorization to Transfer Account form found online at BMO InvestorLine or included in your account statement. Ballots will be awarded upon funds being deposited in the account. For current clients who wish to open a new account, the assets deposited must be new assets, and cannot be transferred from an existing BMO InvestorLine account. Ballots will be awarded in the week the assets are received (not pending). It is recommended that transfers are initiated by February 21, 2008 to ensure a ballot is awarded. When you open a BMO InvestorLine account and deposit $10,000 or more, we will cover your transfer fees up to $200.

c) Account holders who sign up for eStatements will receive one (1) ballot (limit one per account)

d) For each equity or options trade a client receives one (1) ballot. The maximum number of Contest Entries that can be received for the duration of the contest by making a trade is eight (8) per Account.

e) 5 Star Clients will receive double the number of ballots during the Contest period:
Two (2) ballots per trade (maximum of 16).
Two (2) ballots for every transfer or deposit of $10,000 in new money into their existing account.
Two (2) ballots for signing up to eStatements.

f) Ballots awarded will carry over into all remaining Weekly Contest draws

g) For "No Purchase" entries, you can enter by mail. Please write, by hand, a 1000-word essay in English or French on The Benefits of MyLinkTM. Submissions should be on a plain piece of paper and must include your name, address, age and daytime telephone number at the end of the essay. The date the entry is received by the Independent Contest Judging Agency will determine the Weekly Draw that the ballot is submitted to. Entries cannot be mechanically reproduced. Each entry, by mail, must be sent in a separate, postage-paid envelope to: BMO InvestorLine, Amazing 8 Contest Entries, P.O. Box 1580, Station B, Mississauga, ON, L4Y 4G3. Only one mailed-in entry per household will be accepted each week. Contest Entries submitted in a Weekly Prize draw will be carried over into future weeks’ draws.

All entries must be received no later than 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on the following close dates, after which time the Weekly Contest will be closed to further entries. Contest draws are conducted at 4p.m. ET on the designated day listed below.

The odds of being selected in the random draw for any given week will depend on the number of eligible entries actually received on or before that week’s Contest Closing date.

For each weekly prize draw the winner will get to choose one (1) of eight (8) available prizes, as follows:

Trip for Two (2) to see Machu Picchu in Peru:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to Lima departing from selected international gateways in Canada with a four (4) night, five (5) day stay. Return overnight stay in Cuzco-Monasterio Hotel (includes breakfast and oxygen service), train to Machu Picchu, a two (2) night stay at Hotel Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge (including meals, daily 30-minute massage and a Guided Tour) and two (2) entry tickets to Machu Picchu. Approximate prize value is $9,500 (CDN).

Trip for Two (2) to see the Roman Colosseum in Rome, Italy:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to Rome departing from selected international gateways in Canada. A five (5) night, six (6) day stay in a hotel in Rome (includes daily breakfast). A three (3) hour guided tour with entrance fee and private car to see the Roman Colosseum. Approximate prize value is $9,200 (CDN).

Trip for Two (2) to see the Taj Mahal in Agra, India:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to New Delhi Airport departing from selected international gateways in Canada with a four (4) night, five (5) day stay. A three (3) night stay at The Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi (including breakfast). Overnight trip to Agra from Delhi with a one (1) night, two (2) day stay. Includes Hotel and one (1) day private guided tour of the Taj Mahal. Approximate prize value is $9,200 (CDN).

Trip for Two (2) to see the Pyramid at Chichen Itza in Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to Cancun departing from selected international gateways in Canada. A stay for seven (7) nights, and eight (8) days at a resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (includes airport transfers, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and all drinks including alcoholic beverages). A private one (1) day Guided Tour to see the Pyramid at Chichen Itza. Approximate prize value is $7,000 (CDN).

Trip for Two (2) to see the Great Wall in Beijing, China:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to Beijing departing from selected international gateways in Canada. A five (5) night, six (6) day stay at Hotel St. Regis in Beijing (includes daily breakfast) and a one (1) day private guided tour to see the Great Wall. Approximate prize value is $8,150 (CDN).

Trip for Two (2) to see St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Russia:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to Moscow departing from selected international gateways in Canada. A five (5) night, six (6) day stay at the Hotel Le Royal Meridien Nationale (includes daily breakfast). Private guided tour to see the St. Basil’s Cathedral. Approximate prize value is $9,100 (CDN).

Trip for Two (2) to see the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France:
Prize includes return economy airfare for two (2) to Paris departing from selected international gateways in Canada. A three (3) night, four (4) day stay at the Hotel Four Seasons George V (includes daily breakfast). Private car guided tour to see the Eiffel Tower. Approximate prize value is $9,200 (CDN).


A deposit of $10,000 into a BMO InvestorLine Account:
Prize includes a non-registered personal account in the winner’s name with a $10,000 cash deposit into this account.

For any prize selected where travel is involved, the winner is subject to the following rules and regulations:

The winner and guest (if applicable) must travel together. The winner and guest are responsible for obtaining and possessing proper documentation and passports for travel, and must each sign and return a travel release prior to travel. All travel arrangements, including the selection of hotel and airline, will be at the sole discretion of BMO InvestorLine. The winner will be responsible for any ground transfers (unless included in the prize package - see descriptions above), for any airport taxes or improvement fees, meals, beverages, gratuities, and any other charges or personal expenses not specifically included in the description of the prize as set out above. Medical and travel insurance is not included. The trip must be completed before December 31, 2009. Blackout dates may apply. If the winner chooses not to participate in any element/activity offered as part of the prize, he/she will not be reimbursed for the cost of that element/activity. All elements/activities outlined as part of the prize are subject to availability at the time of travel. BMO InvestorLine reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the prize, or any element/activity offered as part of the prize, with an alternative prize, or prize element, of equal or greater value. The agent designated by BMO InvestorLine must handle all travel arrangements. The prize, and all individual components of the prize, must be accepted as awarded, are not transferable and may not be resold.

How to win:
The prizes will be awarded in the following manner:
The draws will include ballots from all eligible entries received.
A random draw will be conducted by the Independent Contest Judging Organization, Empirical, on the following days:

Potential winners will be contacted by telephone. Attempts will be made to contact potential winners using the telephone numbers listed in our client database, or on the information provided on the mailed in entry, for a period of three working days. If efforts to communicate with the potential winner have not been successful by 11:59 p.m. ET at the end of the third (3rd) working day after the day the potential winner's ballot was drawn, the selected entrant will no longer be eligible to win and another entrant will be drawn and the process of contacting the new potential winner will be repeated.

Only potential winners will be contacted. To be confirmed as a winner, the potential winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question unaided and within a limited time, must be eligible according to the official rules and must sign a waiver form and liability/publicity releases.

Winners may book their trips starting April 1, 2008 and must redeem their prize, book and travel by December 31, 2009.

General:

To enter and be eligible to win, entrants must be permanent residents of Canada who are of the age of majority in their province of residence. The employees, representatives and agents of BMO InvestorLine Inc., the Independent Contest Judging Organization, Empirical, and their respective advertising, media buying, promotion agencies, and members of their respective immediate families, persons with whom any of the foregoing are domiciled, are not eligible to enter this contest. The following accounts are also not eligible to enter this contest: DAP, Personal Holding Company, Discretionary, Investment Club/Partnership, Hedge, Estate, Association, Prospect, Financial Collateral.

By entering, entrants acknowledge that they have read these official rules and agree to abide by the official rules of the Contest and the decisions of BMO InvestorLine and the Independent Contest Judging Organization, Empirical, which are final. To accept the prize(s), the winner(s) will be required to sign a waiver form and liability/publicity releases granting BMO InvestorLine or BMO Bank of Montreal permission to use their names, address, voice, comments, and photograph for publicity purposes without compensation. If a potential winner fails to sign and return the waiver form within 72 hours of receiving fax or email and/or 10 working days if by mail, BMO InvestorLine reserves the right to void that entry and select another eligible entrant.

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. For residents of Quebec, any litigation involving a Quebec resident respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation involving a Quebec resident respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. No purchase of any product or service is required in order to enter this Contest.

The names of all winners will be posted online on or after the draw dates and will also be available by sending a self-addressed envelope bearing sufficient postage to: Winners List, BMO InvestorLine Amazing 8 Contest, P.O. Box 1580, Station B, Mississauga, ON, L4Y 4G3.

BMO InvestorLine is not responsible for any failure of the website during the contest period, including any problems or technological malfunctions of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any material in the Contest, all of which may affect an entrant's ability to participate in the contest.

BMO InvestorLine reserves the right to cancel or suspend the online portion of the Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of BMO InvestorLine corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. If, for any reason, the draws are not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of BMO InvestorLine, which in the opinion of BMO InvestorLine corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of these draws, BMO InvestorLine reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the draws, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux.

All decisions of the Independent Contest Judging Organization, Empirical, are final and the contest sponsors and judging organization shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest.
